The Pedigree Doll Company was an English doll manufacturer which had factories New Zealand, South Africa and Australia, and was active from the 1930’s through the mid 1980’s, Dolls are usually marked Pedigree Made in England.
The 1950’s was a prime time for Pedigree. They produce toddler dolls, walker dolls, and Brighton Belle, a large 28″ tall walker doll, all highly collectible and sought after. Pedigree dolls were popular in England and other Commonwealth countries in the 1940’s through the 1960’s. Pedigree sold the Sindy licence to toy giant, Hasbro in 1986.
